IN THE HEART OF THE CEZALLIER HILLS IN THE AUVERGNE  NATURAL VOLCANIC PARK

   

“Les Bergeronnettes” is situated in an extraordinary natural setting in the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes. At an altitude of 1,200 metres in the heart of the Auvergne Natural Volcanic Park this area in northern Cantal boasts a superb mixture of beautiful peaks and meadows. Through-out the summer herds of Salers and Aubrac cattle graze on high mountain pastures. The Gîte des Bergeronnettes is in a typical Auvergne farmhouse nestling in a hamlet between two mountain farms. If you are someone who loves wide open spaces, peace and quiet and fresh mountain air, and also enjoys wildlife, plants and flowers, then this is the place for you. 

 

  

From the Gîte you can head off hiking, horse-riding or go touring by bike. You are spoilt for choice for different places to go. You could choose to follow the GR.4, the Tour du Cézallier marked walking trails or else the Cézallier Limon tracks for horse-riding. Another possibility, if you want to go mountain biking, is the Grande Traversée du Massif Central walking trail. There is also trout fishing nearby.
